Musical Theater Auditioning Sessions

Who must audition?

• New students enrolling for Main Stage or MTC Players
   

• Auditions are not required for:
  
  - Students who received recommendations from the Winter 2010 theater term.
  - Junior Stage classes.

What is happens during the audition?

• Auditions are not talent-based and do not determine the role in the play.  Auditions are to evaluate maturity, ability to participate in the theatrical rehearsal setting, memorization skills, and ability to speak or sing clearly.  Students will sing a short segment of a song, and read 5 spoken lines (see below).

How do I schedule an audition?

• Please call the school after you register for the class. 

What does the student need to prepare?

2. Learn the following spoken lines:

It goes on like this for many days.
