Pirates of
Sherwood Soundtrack Preview
One of the most
inspiring musical productions written for children, Pirates of
Sherwood features a creative storyline, dramatic
choreography, and a spectacular musical score.
The story takes place in 1659 off the coast of England. The Ships of the
British Navy have been overrun by
corrupt and wicked captains. Such a
time is perfect for the cruel plot of the dangerous Captain
Nottingham, who plans to ruthlessly attack the Isles of Scilly.
A group
of stowaways fleeing the attack find
themselves on a notorious pirate ship, the
Sherwood. The pirates are rumored to be the descendants of the
noble Robin Hood and his brave Merry Men. Sadly, their heroic
tradition has fallen into disarray. These
no-good pirates rob from the rich and give only to
themselves. But in the end, they
rise up to stop Captain Nottingham,
save the Isles of Scilly, and show the world that real heroes
still live among us.
The
Pirates of Sherwood soundtrack, featuring some of Philadelphia's top rock musicians,
is written by Kelly Stallard, and is produced and engineered by
Brian Bricklin, whose songs have been featured in major motion
pictures Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Election
(starring Reese Witherspoon), and The Shrink is In (starring
Courtney Cox and David Arquette).
