Class Descriptions

Main Stage Class (Ages 7-12)
This class consists of weekly rehearsals, followed by two end-of-season performances.  Children are expected to learn songs, choreography, and lines.  In addition to the rehearsals, each child attends several 1-hour workshops that focus on stage skills and character development.
Mondays 4 PM or 5:30 PM, Tuesdays 4 PM, or Wednesdays 4 PM or 5:30 PM (1 hour 20 min.)

Junior Stage Class (Ages 5-7)

This class introduces the youngest actors and actresses to our musical theater program.  The class rehearses and performs the same play as the Mainstage class, but with a reduced script.  All songs are performed and choreographed, with narration by the director in place of extended line reading.
Saturdays, 11 AM (1 hour) - Ardmore and Conshohocken
Tuesdays, 4 PM (1 hour) - Conshohocken only

Created especially for children in the elementary school age range, Music Training Center’s Musical Theatre class productions provide a great educational, social, and confidence-building experience.

Productions are limited to 12 children, so that all children receive meaningful lead or ensemble roles.
Each child gets to act, sing, and dance through nearly all of the production. Each child receives a script and a practice CD containing the musical accompaniments.  Our stage has professional sound and lighting, giving the children a truly rewarding experience

Attendance is mandatory at all rehearsals and performances
except in case of emergency or illness
