Ron
Kayfield, the founder and
former lead guitarist
of the renowned Led
Zeppelin tribute band "Get the Led Out",
was also one of the founding members of
the band Waysted (Chrysalis Records) whose
hit "Love Loaded" played on MTV.
In the 1980's, Ron toured with Waysted in the
U.S. opening for Ozzy Osborne and Motley Crue,
and in the UK and Europe, opening for
Dio.
Ron's earliest influence was the Yardbirds, with great guitarists
such as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page.
When Ron performed with Get the Led Out, he
duplicated Jimmy Page's performance right down
to the violin bow and theremine, exciting
audiences everywhere the band performed.
Ron is currently performing in
Kayfield & Co. Guitar Legends, a
musical sojourn into the British blues invasion
performing music from bands and guitarists such as Led Zeppelin,
Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton.
Kayfield & Co. Guitar Legends
is performing locally at the Media Theater on September 7, 2007
