Darryl holds a Masters Degree in Business
Administration from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of
Business, a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the University of
Pennsylvania and a Masters Degree in Engineering from Drexel University. Prior to founding the Music Training Center
in 2002, Darryl was a consultant to Microsoft and Motorola, and worked at
several consumer and defense electronics firms from 1985-2001.
Darryl studied violin at a young age, and
while a student in the Lower Merion school district, was the first-chair
clarinet in the Bala-Cynwyd Middle School band and show orchestra.
While attending Lower Merion high school, Darryl studied guitar with Chet
Makowski at the Medley School of Music. Darryl later studied
voice for three years with
Manuel Lujan, performed as
a guitarist and singer in a rock / 50s-60s cover band in Florida in the
late 1980's, and studied classical piano for several years with
Jeffery Marlowe before founding the Music Training Center.
