Larry is a life-long
resident of the Main Line and has been performing professionally for the
past 38 years, beginning with the band Open Road in the early 70's along
with band mate Brian Bricklin. Open Road appeared on TV several times in
their early teens and in 1976, the band played in Villanova Stadium for
the Bicentennial celebration before a crowd of 15,000 people.
In 1976, Larry became the
youngest performer to headline at the Main Point in Bryn Mawr, PA, a venue
where many national stars like James Taylor and Bruce Springsteen got
their starts. Larry's band also opened for several prominent recording
acts including the Ozark Mountain Daredevils and John Hammond.
In the 1980's and '90's,
Larry was involved in the corporate world as Marketing Manager for the
Invisible Fence Company, where he composed and performed their national
Jingles and scored their Sales Films and TV commercials.
Larry currently performs as
frontman for the band "LG & the Road Dogs" appearing at numerous local
venues. Larry possesses a natural gift of helping young people to become
involved with music early on, as he has personally experienced how music
can both change and become an intricate part of someone's entire lifetime
if given the proper guidance.
